RAW to JPG or PNG converter
Choose your camera’s RAW file extension below to make a JPG or PNG copy. Each converter is free, runs on your device, and supports batch conversion with one ZIP download. No file uploads or sign-up.
Choose your RAW format
Check the filename extension rather than the camera brand alone. Support depends on the camera model and RAW variant, so start with one file before adding a full shoot.

Should you convert RAW to JPG or PNG?
| Consideration | JPG | PNG | Original RAW |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best use | Photo sharing and smaller previews | Rendered pixels without JPG compression | Archiving and further RAW editing |
| Compression | Lossy | Lossless for rendered pixels | Depends on the camera and settings |
| This tool’s output | 8-bit rendered image | 8-bit rendered image | Original remains on your device |
| Camera metadata | Not copied into the export | Not copied into the export | Kept in your original file |
PNG’s lossless compression does not preserve RAW sensor data or all of its editing flexibility. Keep your originals regardless of the export format.
If your RAW file will not open
Confirm that the extension matches the selected tool. Canon CR3, Nikon NRW, and other extensions are not interchangeable with CR2 or NEF. Renaming a file is not a conversion.
Try a single file in a recent browser with WebAssembly support. High-resolution photos require substantial working memory, so reducing batch size can help. If one file still fails, it may be damaged or unsupported by the bundled LibRaw decoder; try your camera manufacturer’s software.
For phone photos stored as HEIF instead of RAW, use the HEIF to PNG converter or HEIC to JPG converter.
